Early spring bulbs are starting to push through the ground here in Kansas City. And even though I woke this morning to a dusting of snow on the ground, I’m dreaming of color in the garden and landscape. Unfortunately the rule of thumb in these parts is that you wait until Mother’s Day to plant, when the threat of frost is over.
