As I write this post, I’ve got my blinders on so that I can avoid looking around my house. Santa has come and gone and left some serious clutter in his wake (he gets all the glory so I figure he can take some responsibility for the mess). This weekend we’re taking down all of the holiday decor and cleaning up. To help with the task, I plan to use some of these clutter cutting strategies from Organized Home.
If you’re really ready to take the plunge and organize your house but are like me and are easily overwhelmed by the to do list, here is a manageable 31 day guide. And I do mean manageable. Day 2 is clean out your purse and that’s the only task. I think I can do this!
It happens every year; the minute the holiday decor is (finally) down, everything looks plain and empty to me. I’m ready to rearrange and update. House Beautiful offers 12 ideas to freshen up your decor.
Winter means dry air and even drier skin. I found this list of 10 facial moisturizers that get the job done and they’re all under $50. My favorite, Aveeno Positively Radiant, made the list and it’s only $13.50 at Target.
If you only have time for one of my links this week, you must read this post from blogger, Wendy Fontaine. Even if you’re still hanging around in your mid to upper 30s, I think you’ll be able to relate to her list of 40 things I can do at 40 that I couldn’t do when I was 20.
If you missed my wish for you in the new year, you can read my post here.
